Access Veterinary Care

I wanted to start this off by saying, I never write reviews especially bad ones but, I’ve been going to access vet for 6 years now, for mainly checkups because my dog really doesn’t have health issues. I’ve never had a problem up until today. (My baby is getting older so she’s developing fatty cysts). Everyone (receptionist/front desk workers) who helped me out were super helpful. The actual vet who saw my dog today, not so much. (AGAIN, this is about the vet who spoke to my sister and I. Everyone else was great). I have never felt so belittled or embarrassed taking my dog in. She made multiple comments that implied that I was a bad owner because I was simply asking about opinions that I had. The comments were unnecessary and it made me and sister very uncomfortable. I also felt pressured to do extra tests that didn’t even concern me at the time. I felt like it was such a huge waste of money, knowing that my dog didn’t have any symptoms of what they were testing for. (The test results came back negative, like I knew they were going to) now I know, I said yes to getting the extra testing done but it did come with pressure to get the test done. Other than that access has always been great to me when it was JUST a routine check up, but now I know to go else where when The situation becomes more dire or when I feel the need for a vet that is patient and has compassion for others.

My cat had an emergent visit and not only were they quick and kind with him (he was a pill cause he wasn’t feeling well) but they were kind to me by explaining what was happening and offering options. They listened to my financial concerns and worked to do as much to support my sweet Sammy as they could while being aware of my financial situation. 10/10 I strongly recommend them. Staff and doctors are amazing ❤️

About a month ago I had to bring one of my cats into urgent care for a UTI. She was well taken care of and they were so thorough and wonderful. We had to make the difficult decision to put our other cat Thomas down and we chose to come here because of our wonderful experience with our female cat. I am so glad that we chose the end of life service at Access. They were so kind, compassionate and treated our cat with dignity in his last minutes here. He had a comfortable and painless experience in his last moments with us and I am so grateful for the care they gave us. We will definitely continue to bring our female cat here. Thank you again for all you do.

If you wake up late and can't get into Mission, this place is your next best bet. Prices were comparable to Mission's. Treated animals with love and respect. Staff were cordial and compassionate. If you fill out the online application in the morning you'll get a spot within two hours. Almost went with the five star but the appointment application online was difficult to navigate and seems inaccessible because of the length/details of questions asked. Overall, my pet was treated with respect and received the care they needed.
